The Central Mosque of Ouagadougou stands at the center of an inquiry that requires a precise chronology. Family and community memory associates Kharim Yamana with an inaugural prayer during the foundation phase of the 1950s. Kharim Kouanda is believed to have passed away around the 1960s. The dossier therefore does not connect him with the inauguration of the 1979 reconstruction. This distinction matters: a transmitted history can guide research without replacing programs, minutes, committee archives or foundation documents. The record presents what is established, what is transmitted and what remains to be verified.
